Commonwealth Place, located in East Syracuse is a residential treatment facility for alcohol and drug patients.  Service includes medical and bio-psychosocial assessment, treatment planning and daily therapy programs.  Therapy programs include individual and group therapy, Chemical Dependency education and education on related topics, activities of daily living therapy, medical follow up and continued care planning

A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital.  This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:  

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree
• Two (2) years Medical/Surgical experience

Preferred:  

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree

            *Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:  

• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:

• Certification in a specialty area.
• Addiction or Mental Health education and/or training.
