Summary: 

Coordinates assigned prevention and wellness programs and initiatives for the School Health Program (SHP). Works independently on a variety of functions to support the SHP mission. Assists with development and implementation of prevention and wellness programming. Assists with communication, data collection and outreach activities. Manages relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders. Provides mental health evaluations and treatments for patients in the SHP, approximately 3 to 21 years of age. May provide mental health services at off-campus location(s) based on the assigned area (i.e. in schools, etc.). Performs diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy treatment, group therapy/counseling sessions, and crisis intervention services. Collaborates with members of medical and mental health teams as needed. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

 


Qualifications:

Required:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other Behavioral Health-related field of study from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, or other similar accrediting body.
Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
2 years of post-Masters experience working with patients as a clinical Social Worker or Counselor.
Experience working with pediatric patients
Experience managing a case load of patients.
Demonstrated program coordination skills.
Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Word and Excel.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative/team environment.
Strong problem solving, organization, and critical thinking skills.
Strong time management and project management skills.
Ability to work quickly/efficiently, multi-task, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while under deadline pressure.
Demonstrated success in building positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and staff.
Reliable transportation to travel to designated community locations.
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred:
Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision (LISW-S) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision (LPCC-S).
Experience with Psychiatric evaluations and dispositions.
Experience with therapeutic interventions and treatment planning.
Interest in any of the following areas:
• Community outreach and engagement.
• Community health program principles, practices and techniques.
• Trauma informed care and principles.
• Social determinants of health.

Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
