Mechanical Engineer American Metal Technologies seeks Mechanical Engineer in Sturtevant, WI to design and analyze new product experience and optimize design. Design assembly, and test equipment, tools, and fixture. Perform capability analysis, program and validate assembly and test equipment to meet all aspects of customer's engineering specifications. Write work instructions for ops and troubleshooting of equipment. Establish and verify assembly standards to optimize material flow (one-piece flow, lean mfg.), assembly process and cost validation. Research and design the development of tooling, automated test equipment and assembly process and cost validation. Research and design the development of tooling, automated test equipment and assembly equipment required to implement process improvement and higher product integrity. Review Acceptance Test Procedures and assembly process to promote standardization procedures across product lines. Participate on new product launch, possess skills and understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control plan development. Participate in planning and development of process and equipment that incorporate the advanced cost effective tech. for assembly, test, measurements and material handling. Use structure problem solving root cause analysis (8D) of mfg. Issues and Customers rejects. Conduct data analysis, implement SPC for process and quality improvements. Participate in design review for assessment of mfg. feasibility, able to provide feedback for design, conduct DOE, DFF, and DFMA. Develop, evaluate and improve mfg. methods by utilizing knowledge of product design, materials/parts, fabrication processes, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards. BA Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3 months of experience as Mechanical Engineer. Minimum 3 months of experience in design optimization as well as design and analysis of new product experience.
