Salary:

Unit Member per credit $ 1,953.83 / Per 3 credit class $5,861.49

Non-Unit Member per credit $1,297.64 / Per 3 credit class $3,892.92

General Statement of Duties:

The Department of Education at Westfield State University invites applications to become a part-time instructor within the Bachelor of Science in Education programs. Successful candidates will teach courses within the early childhood, elementary and or/ moderate disabilities program according to candidate specialization and departmental need. Candidates with a variety of areas of expertise in education will be considered. We especially invite applicants who demonstrate expertise in Literacy, Special Education, Curriculum Development, Critical Multicultural Education and Sheltered English Immersion.

Successful candidates will be encouraged to collaborate in dialogue among the faculty on curriculum and pedagogy. Candidates who are able to have an on-campus day presence are preferred; however, in exceptional cases, hybrid or remote instruction may be considered.


Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • At least three years of full-time Pk-12 experience
  • Master's degree in education or a closely related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior college teaching and/or supervision experience in education

Covid-19 Requirements:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to complete an initial series of COVID vaccination (2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of J&J) prior to coming to campus.
