Job Summary: The Psychiatric Child Nurse Practitioner will provide high quality professional consultation and inpatient psychiatric services to patients at University hospital. Expected to see 8-20 children in a focused, rapid rounding model over 4-8 hours every Sat or Sun. Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered Psychiatric NP required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have Master’s Degree, NPI number, DEA certification, medical malpractice insurance and be Medicare enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN). Eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through ANCC prior to hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Child psychiatric experience preferred.

Work Days:

Sat or Sun 4-8 hour shift between 8a-8p flexible.

The department is seeking two Per Diem NP's for this position. $50 - $75 per hour depending on qualifications.
