Assistant Street and Sanitation Foreman

The City of LaFayette has an opening in the Street and Sanitation Department for an Assistant Street and Sanitation Foreman. The Assistant Street and Sanitation Foreman will work under the direction of the Superintendent. Interested applicants must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, possess a current valid CDL driver's license, or be able to obtain a CDL driver's license within 6 months of employment. Four (4) years supervisory experience is preferred. The person selected will assist the Superintendent with preventive maintenance activities, street cleaning activities, and other special projects on a citywide basis. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to operate a backhoe and bush hog, and identify work requirements and schedule work assignments for projects and maintenance activities involving the Street and Sanitation Department. The aforementioned job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the successful applicant may be assigned other duties that are not specifically stated above in order to meet the ongoing needs of the City of LaFayette. Rate of pay will be based on experience.
