Data Scientist (VWR Management Services, LLC / Radnor, PA) – Apply machine learning & data mining technologies to develop innovative solutions which include working with technology team to support machine-learning algorithms in big data platforms to solve a variety of business problems. Requires Master’s in Business Analytics & Project Management, Applied Statistics, Economics, or another directly related quantitative field & 2 years experience in job offered or as Team Member – Manufacturing &/or Business Analyst. Background in education, training, or experience must include demonstrated ability to aggregate, normalize & process data by authoring predictive algorithms to synthesize & present actionable data insights; must have experience in at least 1 of the following: machine learning, data visualization, statistical modeling, data mining, or NLP (Natural language processing); proficiency in analysis (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab) packages, programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, Ruby) as well as the ability to implement, maintain, & troubleshoot big data infrastructure, such as distributed processing paradigms, stream processing & databases such as Hadoop, Storm, SQL and Solr.
