LVT needed for small animal practice in Louisa, VA.

We would love to welcome you to our small animal, private practice in rural Louisa, Virginia. You'll find a wonderful quality of life here in our historically farming community between Charlottesville, Richmond and Fredericksburg. This location means you are near the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, ocean, lakes and DC city life along with multitudes of outdoor activities, beautiful countryside and historical areas, yet reasonable land prices, taxes, quite a few colleges and universities, good schools and a friendly small town community.

We are looking for a full or part time addition to our professional team of 3 DVMs and 2 LVTs, along with a stable support staff that likes and appreciates each other. We see mainly dogs and cats, but also a growing number of exotics and the occasional pet laying hen.

Interests and skills should include client communication, preventative care, senior care, dental care, surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring, imaging, lab work, history taking and triage, patient care, caring handling and restraint, equipment maintenance and more. You will work closely with the veterinarians and LVTs and will have mentoring available to you. Your skills and input will be very appreciated.

We are nicely equipped with Heska in house lab equipment, Cuattro digital x-ray, cold therapy laser, optic video endoscopy, dental equipment, and more.

We enjoy being a smaller practice that engages with clients and provides them and their pets thoughtful, up to date, quality medical care and personal service. We really care about our clients and patients. We like being the kind and size of practice where everyone can keep up with the best interests of patients, clients and staff.

A strong work ethic and a fun attitude toward work are appreciated as well as multitasking ability, time management skills, computer skills, and an appreciation for fellow team members. Experience is helpful, but we will welcome any new graduate capable of working independently with the support of team members. We enjoy flexible scheduling to support our personal lives and rotating Saturday morning hours. Emergencies and night care are supported by multiple nearby emergency and specialty centers.

Come and put your skills to work with our team! Competitive compensation is based on experience, and also includes PTO, CE, insurance stipend, licenses, retirement plan, uniform allowance, and pet discounts.
