Job Description

Job Summary

Administers, scores, and interprets intelligence, aptitude, achievement, and other psychological tests to provide test information results to the DeVos Children's Hospital Pediatric Psychologists, primary care physicians (PCPs), teachers, counselors, and other specified parties. Assessment procedures require adherence to standardized protocol, in order to elicit optimal patient performance.

Essential Functions

• As directed administers psychological tests: intelligence, aptitude, organicity, and achievement tests. Evaluates behavior of individuals being tested. Provides test information to appropriate individuals.
• Assembles test data and calculates statistical summaries such as means, standard deviations, correlations, or analysis of variance; submits to supervisor for interpretation.
• Utilizes computerized scoring software and prepares reports by use of computer.
• Interpret test results against standard norms and limitations to determine validity and reliability.
• Disseminates results of evaluation to other medical staff and assist in the development of patient therapy programs.
• Researches and consults on test selection and usage.
• Orders and maintains manuals, scoring keys, forms and answer sheets.
• Prepares profiles of test subjects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Psychology or a closely related field
• Six months of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in administering and scoring psychological tests (aptitude, achievement, intelligence, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Psychology or a closely related field
• Previous experience working with the pediatric population
