The Daily Times is looking for a full time person to train for our Classified Sales Department.  If you are the right person, we’ll teach you everything you need to know to help people write ads that get better results. 

This is a full-time  position with excellent benefits including: health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401k program and more.  The pay includes a base wage plus above-average commissions with opportunity for growth. 

You will work from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM in a professional office environment, so a neat appearance and good clerical skills are important.

The right candidate should have excellent telephone manners, good spelling skills, basic computer knowledge and be willing to grow within the position. Creativity is a PLUS.

In addition to inbound sales opportunities, you must also have a willingness to perform outbound sales calls to potential new customers, manage collections of past-due accounts and perform other duties as assigned.

The daily newspaper environment is fast-paced and deadline oriented, so you will have to be the kind of person who can think on your feet, follow directions and stay on task without constant close supervision.  Our Classified Sales Department is one of the most fun and exciting areas at our newspaper.
