Assessment and Accreditation Coordinator

 

Nature of Work: This position organizes and facilitates assessment processes and accreditation related functions (i.e. HLC) across campus. The assessment and accreditation coordinator manages the effective use of Office 365, the Learning Management System, and other software platforms to support assessment and accreditation processes. This individual works closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to collaborate on data projects; and foster a culture of inquiry, critical self-reflection, evidence based decision making, and a learner-centered environment. Responsibilities include a variety of professional and administrative duties for WSC’s Study Abroad programs, Quality Matters training, and the administration of CourseEval surveys.

 

Examples of Work:

  • Coordinate and provide support for the College’s institution–wide assessment program and process.
  • Coordinate planning and implementing assessment goals and objectives; providing assistance for all assessment endeavors to schools, deans, department chairs, faculty members, and professional and support staff in all institutional areas.
  • Coordinate, develop, maintain, and utilize appropriate information systems and records necessary to document assessment processes by collaborating with Institutional Research, Academic Affairs, Network and Technology Services, and various support services including the Assessment and Accreditation Web sites to communicate important developments in assessment on campus and throughout Higher Education.
  • Prepare the annual assessment and accreditation budget to support institutional goals.
  • Prepare annual reports on assessment for the WSC Institutional Data Book.
  • Support and assist with the design, development, and evaluation of instructional programs, learning, and academic services.
  • Participate in continuous professional growth related to the field of educational assessment and accreditation.
  • When appropriate, attend annual meetings and other specialized accreditation meetings.
  • Review and provide feedback, as appropriate, on assessment plans and annual assessment program reports.
  • Chair and coordinate the activities of the Assessment Oversight Committee.
  • Maintain the Assurance System for the Higher Learning Commission’s Assurance Argument and Evidence files for Wayne State College’s Open Pathway institutional accreditation.
  • Develop, prepare, and post written and web-based reports for both internal and external constituents documenting accreditation, assessment, and quality improvement results.
  • Coordinate national norm-referenced testing for external benchmarking.
  • Attend annual meetings and other specialized accreditation meetings as deemed appropriate.
  • Facilitate and assess all aspects of Quality Matters and serve as the point of contact for the program.
  • Facilitate and assess all aspects of the CourseEval program for the collection of student course evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned that are pertinent to the goals and mission of the department and the college.

 

Study Abroad Programs

  • Coordinate the administrative processes related to the College’s Study Abroad programs.
  • Serve as the initial point-person for all Study Abroad-related communications involving prospective, current, and former students, faculty and staff, and external entities.
  • Assist and work collaboratively with designated faculty leaders, the Deans, and relevant campus offices (Admissions, Records, Financial Aid, Business Office, etc.) to coordinate logistics for Study Abroad events
  • Use a variety of software to prepare correspondence, publicity materials, surveys, flyers, reports, presentations, and other materials
  • Initiate and facilitate communications between Study Abroad faculty and staff and third-party service providers as needed.
  • Establish and monitor timelines, required materials, online support services, facilities, publicity, and other program and event needs
  • Recommend, update, and maintain policies related to the Study Abroad Programs
  • Serve as a liaison between the College and the Nebraska State College System office with regard to contracts with external entities (e.g., third-party providers)
  • Publish policies and procedures in required formats (website, handbooks, etc.)
  • Create, maintain study abroad reports, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Participate in program assessment activities.

 

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree and relative work experience

 

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive and comprehensive fringe benefit package. Annual salary range is $40,896.00-$51,120.00.
