Full-time (1.0 FTE), 7-hour day, 10-month, school calendar position

  • Provide juniors and seniors with rigorous and engaging classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills that would prepare students to be college and career ready in the Auto Tech industry
  • Prepare students for the national assessment in ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) student certification in Maintenance and Light Repair
  • Collaborate with counterpart Auto Tech instructors on the direction of the program
  • Needs to understand current automotive electronic systems
  • Monitor students’ academic progress including, but not limited to progress/marking period grades, attendance, hands-on performance skills
  • Implement 504 plans and IEP's (Individualized Education Plans) for students with diverse learning needs
  • Keep current with changes and developments in the Auto Tech industry
  • Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, home school counselors and all others involved with the education of all students
  • Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites

COMPUTER SERVICES COORDINATOR OR ADMINISTRATOR OF TECHNOLOGY003 CSC24-25

 Full-time (1.0 FTE) 8-hour day, 12 month position

The following work activities are listed as examples only and in no event shall an employee be limited to only those examples listed here:

  • Develops and assists in the planning and implementation of school district, building, and BOCES’ technical networking systems
  • In collaboration with district employees, develop and coordinate the implementation of the organization’s technology plan, based on instructional and administrative needs in relation to the organization’s strategic goals
  • Prepares and submits required and appropriate reports
  • Reviews and updates acquisition procedures and maintains an inventory of computer/technology related equipment
  • Organizes training and awareness sessions on the use of administrative and instructional software applications and hardware technology
  • Coordinates computer assisted instruction and computer managed instructional system
  • Assists in the integration of technology applications in K-12 curriculum
  • Supervises technical assistance on computer applications
  • Assists building administrators in the development and implementation of technology programs and budgets
  • Chairs technology committees
  • Acts as the liaison between the organization’s staff and technology vendors, making recommendations for purchases
  • Performs other duties as assigned
TEACHER, SECONDARY SOCIAL STUDIES / ENGLISH: MIDDLE SCHOOL, ALT ED93 ALT 23

ANTICIPATED Full-time (1.0 FTE), 7 hours per day, 10-month school calendar position

  • Provide instruction to Alternative Education students for Social Studies courses
  • Administer and score Regents Exams
  • Provide engaging and diversified instructional strategies to meet the learning styles of all students
  • Use assessment data to identify the learning gaps of students
  • Monitor students’ academic progress including, but not limited to progress/marking period grades, and attendance
  • Implement 504 plans and IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students with diverse learning needs
  • Provide effective classroom management and supervision
  • Work as a team with the other teachers and counselors in Alternative Eduation
  • Consult regularly with parents, teachers, home school counselors and all others involved with the education of each student
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned

  • Drive van
  • Deliver mail, supplies and materials to schools in the Greater Southern Tier BOCES region,
  • Load and unload van;
  • Act as BOCES ambassador;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

$15.00/HOUR
