HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATIVE

Hunt Refining Company is seeking a self-motivated candidate for the position of Human Resources Representative. Ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Human Resources or Business
Administration with five or more years' related experience. Recruitment and on-boarding experience is desired. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and have strong communication skills. Knowledge of ADP WorkForce Now and Adobe InDesign software is preferred.

Recruiting Responsibilities:

Oversees recruiting, interviewing, testing, and selection of employees to fill vacant hourly and salary nonexempt positions. Manages advertisements in local newspapers and recruiter relationships.  Responsible for posting openings with the State Employment Service, Vocational Rehab and Veterans Administration offices Responsible for internal job postings in accordance with company policy.  Schedules interviews, prescreening and monitoring selection with regard to AAP/EEO compliance; provides background and reference checks.  Coordinates travel arrangements/accommodations for all candidates. Ensure all pre-employment requirements are complete before hire date. Responsible for employee referral program.  Coordinates all job offers or rejections to ensure timeliness and adequate information as provided.

Responsible for Student programs:

  • Intern
  • Engineering Co-Op
  • Operations Co-Op
  • Lab Co-Op
  • Distribute to executive group monthly recruiting report
  • Maintain and update company LinkedIn site.
  • Maintains applicant tracking software. Corresponds to applicants not selected.

Corporate Communications Responsibilities:

  • Editor of quarterly company newsletter. Coordinates with departments company-wide to compile articles and ensure appropriateness and readability.
  • Ensures periodic updates to company intranet and internet sites.
  • Prepares and provides input to company-wide announcements.
  • Provides reporting to Dallas Communications Department. 

Payroll/Benefit Responsibilities:

  • Payroll backup
  • Fitness reimbursement program
  • Vacation roll-over/cash-out calculations
  • Maintains an understanding of benefits provided by the company for its employees and maintains an open communication with employees, supervisors and management personnel concerning these benefits. 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Administers the SilkRoad Red Carpet onboarding program.
  • Ensures proper on-boarding of new employees to get them engaged and productive as soon as possible. Conducts new hire orientation.
  • Creates new hire folders (electronic and hard copy)
  • I-9 document management
  • Other duties may be assigned.
