The successful candidate, as a member of the Clinical Chemistry Assay Development team, will assume bench responsibility for assay development and/or method enhancement on automated clinical chemistry platforms. This will include optimization of reagent formulation, verification of product performance, and the development of solutions to technical problems. The incumbent will execute and analyze routine experiments independently, and new experiments with some supervision. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment. The incumbent needs to possess good oral and written communication skills and be able to use software products to analyze data and prepare reports. Experience and knowledge in assay development is highly desirable. The typical candidate would have a BS in Medical Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 1-3 years of experience. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
 

Provides assistance in a wide variety of routine technical assignments. Assists with conducting routine tests or investigations pertaining to the development of new designs methods, materials, or processes and investigates possible application of results Obtains, correlates, and analyzes technical information needed to accomplish routine tasks. Provides assistance in preparing reports, charts, graphs, and other documents. Assists in developing designs for a variety of products, processes, and components. 

Applicant requires a Bachelor or higher degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Laboratory Technology, Biology, or related field with 1 - 3 years of experience working in research lab, clinical lab, diagnostic company, or pharmaceutical company.
