The Cytogenetic Technologist Specialist I, Certified (NYQ) at ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City: Requires Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, genetics or genetics-related field or clinical laboratory science or medical technology and ASCP certification as CG Technologist. In the Cytogenetics laboratory, the Cytogenetic Technologist Specialist I, Certified (NYQ) will perform chromosome analysis on both oncology and constitutional specimens using MetaSystems chromosome analysis software. Will routinely perform case review, which entails reviewing the work of other Technologists, providing them with feedback and preparing detailed case reports for Medical Directors. Will operate and maintain equipment such as a brightfield microscope. Will also participate in training and mentoring of new employees.
