Instructional Technology Coordinator Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Instructional Technology Coordinator ensures the university's smooth operation of eLearning platforms and technologies. This position provides technical support to students, faculty, and staff utilizing eLearning systems, resolves technical issues, and assists in implementing eLearning solutions. It will also oversee the operations of the eLearning helpdesk and provide additional expertise in faculty professional development opportunities. This position provides support to the instructional design team as needed. The anticipated start date for this position is June 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required; a master's degree in a related field is preferred. The requirements listed represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of full-time related work experience equals one year of education. At least two years' experience with online teaching and learning environments, providing learning management system support to faculty and students. Adjunct Instructor 1 - Developmental Curriculum Multiple Locations
All potential dual or concurrent enrollment instructors must complete the Ferris application process to be considered to teach a Ferris course. The Developmental Curriculum department approves the credentials of dual and concurrent enrollment instructors teaching courses in their curriculum area. Selected instructors must meet the academic department’s requirements for teaching courses in their curriculum areas. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face-to-face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position varies by semester but generally would fall around May 14, 2024, August 26, 2024, or January 13, 2025. Required: An instructor teaching developmental curriculum college courses must have a master’s degree. Two years of full-time experience working in a high school, career and technical education center, or college/university combined with expertise in career advising, coaching, or guidance. Two years part-time is equivalent to one year full-time.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Automotive Management Big Rapids, MI 49307
Teach BS degree level coursework in the College of Engineering Technology. Depending on qualifications, subjects taught could include: Automotive Foundations, Automotive Marketing and Distribution, Automotive Accounting, Automotive Culture, Management of Fixed or Variable Operations, Warranty and Customer Relations, or Internet and Social Media Marketing. Perform skilled trades work in locksmithing and carpentry on University owned buildings and furnishings. The normal working hours are typically 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
