English Department Adjunct

Southwestern College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach several sections of the freshman writing course sequences for the 2020-21 school year. 

A master’s degree in English, rhetoric, or composition, or a closely related field is required. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching as part of a collaborative team working with the freshman writing program, with a demonstrated record of teaching at this level.   Candidates should also be flexible and willing to adapt to the constantly changing demands of working in the environment of the COVID-19 epidemic and have experience and comfort with on-line teaching and delivery platforms.

1. Letter of application addressing interest and qualifications for positions including interest in specific courses
2. Curriculum Vitae or résumé
3. Name, address, email address, and phone number of at least three references who can address the candidate’s qualifications for the positions.
4. Transcripts (copies accepted).  Official transcripts are required at time of appointment.
