Westfall Township has Part Time (PIT) Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) - Ambulance employee positions available. The MVO is trained in driving the ambulance, CPR including defibrillation and assisting the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The MVO follows the Vehicle and Traffic laws and the directions of the of the EMT. 

The job will consist of:

Responsibilities for MVO

• Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
• Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
• Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies, procedures and protocols
• Maintain a safe and clean ambulance for patients
• Station and vehicle cleaning duties
• Equipment and supply inventory
• Report to and work in all weather conditions
• 12 hour shifts to include days, nights, weekends, holidays  

Qualifications for MVO

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must possess and maintain current CPR certification
• Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license, EVOC certification
• Must obtain and maintain EMSVO certification within 30 days of employment
• Experience in an emergency care setting preferred
• Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to operate the ambulance in accordance with outlined policies, procedures and protocols
• Ability to exercise-sound judgment while-working in a stressful-environment  
• NIMS — 100, 200, 700, 800 and PA Haz Mat awareness within 90 Days

Experience preferred: Pay rate will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must be at least 18 yrs. of age. Applicants will undergo an oral interview and physical ability test during the selection process. Background check and drug/alcohol test are required prior to employment. Duty location will be the Westfall Township Fire Department 101 Mountain Ave. Matamoras, PA 18336.
