RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance Officers develop and implement comprehensive mission compliance solutions to protect privacy and civil liberty during the conduct of NSA's mission activities. They support the development, implementation, and monitoring of a mission compliance program that includes internal control activities, risk assessments, standards and procedures, awareness and training, and verification and assessment to ensure compliance with applicable legal and policy requirements. The responsibilities of a Compliance Officer include: - Ensuring compliance with federal law, Executive Orders, Presidential directives, Intelligence Community directives, and Department of Defense and NSA/CSS policy - Provide oversight and compliance support to operational and compliance systems, algorithms, analytics and analysis processes, and dissemination activities. - Preparing generalized or specialized educational materials for the global workforce about the laws, policy, practices, and procedures that apply to cybersecurity and intelligence mission activities. - Identifying, understanding, and applying the external and internal obligations with which the Agency must comply with to training, mission functions, processing, and reporting procedures - Identifying, designing, and assessing the effectiveness of existing preventative and detective compliance controls as applied to mission data sets and mission activities. - Performing risk assessments of existing controls set against a complex, evolving architecture and dynamic analytic methods. - Preparing documentation for the overseers such as the Department of Justice, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and the Inspector General. - Performing mission or project lead activities that result in improved systems, algorithms, or methods that underpin current or future compliance controls. - Managing and executing technical preventive and detective controls systems applied against all mission data sets as well as processing, analysis, and dissemination analytic activities. - Monitoring, auditing, and enhancing privacy compliance activities (interviewing, planning, developing) supported by Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning models. - Utilizing investigative techniques to make competent investigative mission compliance determinations and associated recommendations. - Managing compliance incidents and related processes to perform root cause analysis and develop mitigation strategies. - Serving as a subject matter expert liaison between groups internal or external to the NSA/CSS.

PAY BENEFITS & WORK SCHEDULE
Salary offers are based on candidate's education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Salary ranges vary by location and work level. This position is hiring for a variety of locations to include: Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Texas and Colorado. Salary Range: $44,740 - $176,300 (Entry to Expert) On-the job training, internal NSA courses and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Work Schedule: M-F, with basic 8hr/day work requirements between 0600 and1800 (flexible).
