Job Description
Job Summary
Reviews and analyzes data and develops reports to summarize inventory control data. Acts as a resource to staff, managers, and other departments related to area of specialty.
Essential Functions
- Develops and generates reports or forms and distributes to appropriate people, monitoring information for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicates, collaborates and acts as a consultant to staff, management and other departments in order to educate and ensure continuity and coordination of services.
- Analyzes data to maintain appropriate inventory levels and reorder points to maximize inventory turns.
- Reviews stock outages on a daily basis.
- Manages the cycle count process on a daily basis.
- Analyzes monthly reports to identify low usage items and facilitate the removal of them in conjunction with purchasing.
- Analyzes stocking locations to ensure appropriate space is allocated in all warehouse locations.
- Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of hospital safety and infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience inventory management or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Required
