NOTICE OF POSITION OPENINGS

POSITIONS: Two (2) Line Crew Positions

Effective immediately, Columbus Electric Cooperative, Inc. has two (2) open positions in the Operations Department on the Line Crews, one of which is based in Deming, New Mexico and one of which is based in Animas, New Mexico. The Cooperative will have the discretion in determining to which crew the successful applicants are assigned.

The Lineman positions provide service, line construction, operation and maintenance of the Cooperative's overhead and underground distribution and transmission system. The successful candidates must demonstrate the ability and desire to acquire and train in the skills necessary to perform the job, which includes an apprentice program lasting no less than forty-eight (48) months and no longer than fifty-two (52) months, with both academic and on the job training components. More specific job requirements and responsibilities can be obtained either at the Cooperative's main office, at 900 N. The minimum basic requirements are a valid New Mexico driver's license and a high school diploma or G.E.D. There are also physical requirements for the job contained in the job description.
