Job Summary: Dr. Yingxi Lin’s laboratory currently focuses on multiple NIH-funded projects studying circuit and molecular mechanisms by which experience modifies the wiring of the brain and leads to long term behavioral changes. Current research areas are learning and memory, memory discrimination and generalization, and neurodevelopmental disorders. We employ a wide range of cutting-edge techniques, which can be roughly grouped into the following areas:
  1. Molecular and cellular Neuroscience, biochemistry, and mouse genetics;
  2. Transcription regulation, transcriptome analysis, including single-cell RNA-seq and single-cell ATAC-seq;
  3. Microscopy, including confocal and light-sheeting microscopy;
  4. Slice electrophysiology, neural circuit mapping, fiber photometry, and in vivo Ca2+ imaging;
  5. Mouse behavioral analyses and manipulations, including optogenetics and chemogenetics.
Minimum Qualifications:

PHD in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Highly-motivated candidates who have a strong technical background in one or more of the above mentioned areas and are also eager to expand their technical repertoire are encouraged to apply
