Job Description
Monitor daily imports and exports of the U.S. Department of Education’s electronic systems regarding FAFSA (application) data, data corrections, requests for duplicate student aid reports, and Pell Grant file. Submits error-free transmissions and distributes printed confidential and fiscal documents appropriately. Research and respond to all constituents served regarding application process, data changes, and document availability. Serves as Intake Counselor as requested by supervisors. Performs verification process of financial information submitted by student financial aid applicants on the FAFSA.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Strong and current working knowledge of Title IV financial aid programs and regulations, demonstrate excellent organization, analytical research and problem-solving skills and a commitment to positive client service in a high-volume, intense public environment. This would include working in Banner, PeopleSoft or a similar program, all federal web programs (FAA Access to Central Processing System (CPS), Common Origination and Disbursement (COD), National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). Ability to function effectively in a team environment to achieve results and meet goals in a service-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to make program decisions based upon specific criteria; and to promote the institution and its services.

Considerable experience working in a student service related position which involves decision making on policies and procedural guidelines.

Some client service experience at a post-secondary institution. Some training in electronic communications with the U.S. Department of Education. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Conditions of Employment
Given the nature of the positions in Student Engagement & Enrollment Services that provide support to student services and/or student-centered programs, the employee occupying this position may be required to work during a university closing as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e. telework, etc.).

Annual Salary/Hourly Rate Salary is commensurate with education and experience and begins at $ - $40,000
