Position Summary Information

Position Summary
One-year full-time temporary instructor position beginning August 26, 2024. Duties include instructing courses through in-person lecture and laboratory delivery methods, grading assigned coursework, maintaining regular office hours, and participating in assessment. Teaching responsibilities include Earth History Lecture and Lab, Petrology Lecture and Lab and Understanding the Physical World. In addition to teaching, the successful applicant will also be expected to engage in scholarship and service to the institution.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in geology required. Ability to teach introductory and upper division geology lectures and laboratories. Successful performance in an interview and teaching presentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching geology at the undergraduate level. PhD preferred.
