Knowledgeable with machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance, raw materials, production processes, quality control, and maximizing the effective manufacture of goods. Strong mathematics and computer skills. Ability to control operations of equipment and/or systems. Read gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working property. Perform routines maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

Section C: Essential Functions |
· Adjust and correct machine set-ups. · Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications. · Read rolling orders, blueprints, and roll former schedules to determine set-up specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and quality inspection procedures. · Manipulate controls and observe dial indicators in order to monitor, adjust, and regulate speeds of machine. · Thread or feed materials through rolling mechanisms; control mechanisms that automatically feed steel into rollers. · Position, align, and secure coils, mandrels, and dies. · Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Manufacturing experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Ability to read blueprints, measuring tapes, micrometers, and calipers · Flexibility · Cooperative · Initiative · Quality · Safety Awareness · Technical Aptitude · Accountability · 5S Awareness · General Manufacturing Knowledge

Section E: Physical/Visual/Mental Demands
|
While performing the duties of this job the employee is consistently required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Other physical requirements include the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection). While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, overhead cranes, and forklifts moving heavy materials. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
