Affordable Care Act (ACA) Navigator Program
3 Full-time Navigator Positions (Salary – ($44,720)
The ACA Navigator will assist individuals to enroll in Affordable Care Act Health Insurance in the marketplace and accurately report on activities to secure affordable health care.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Schedules and takes in-person appointments for enrollment services
- Conducts follow-up phone calls
- Answers 1-800-toll-free phone line for consumers needing assistance
- Attends outreach events and speaking with consumers in public venues, and daily data entry
- Carries out statutory and regulatory duties; has expertise in eligibility, enrollment, and program insurance program specifications, including that of Medicaid and Chip (Children’s Health Insurance Program) in addition to the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace.
- Conducts public education activities to raise awareness about the Exchange.
- Provides information and services in a fair, accurate, and impartial manner.
- Facilitates selection of a Qualified Health Plan.
- Provides referrals to any applicable office of health insurance consumer assistance to address consumer grievances, questions, or complaints about their plan, coverage, or a determination.
- Provides information in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate and accessible to individuals with disabilities
Navigator Education/Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Social Work, Health, Associates degree or combination of education and experience
- Ability to conduct outreach
- Willing to drive to identified sites
- Experience with health insurance preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Documented proficiency in group facilitation
- Must be computer literate using Microsoft Office or similar applications
- Positive and team-Oriented attitude
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds
- Ability to balance the needs and expectations of multiple constituents
- Bilingual strongly preferred but not required
1 Full-time Senior Navigator (Salary $58,350)
Functions and Responsibilities
- Supervises Navigators and Administrative Assistance
- Oversee daily program operations
- Consults with the Program Director on all relative matters affecting program operations
- Ensures program operation are in compliance with stated goals and objectives
- Prepares ACA reports as required in consultation with the Program Director
- Reports to and work closely with the Program Director
- Performs other required duties as assigned
Senior Navigator Education/Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Social Work, Health, Associates degree or combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience of three years or more preferred
- Experience with health insurance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Documented proficiency in group facilitation
- Computer literate using Microsoft Office or similar applications
- Positive and team-Oriented attitude
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with others
1 Part-time Program Director (Salary - $23,664)
Functions and Responsibilities
- Supervisors Senior Navigator
- Leads strategic planning and implementation for navigator program
- Plans and oversee ACA program
- Oversees program, marketing, and other communication efforts
- Responsible for achieving program goals and objectives
- Establishes and maintain relationships with various organizations a
- Prepares ACA reports
- Reports to and work closely with the President and CEO
Program Director Education/Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Social Work, Health, Associates degree or combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience of three years or more preferred
- Experience with health insurance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Documented proficiency in group facilitation
- Computer literate using Microsoft Office or similar applications
- Positive and team-Oriented attitude
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with others
1 Administrative Assistance Position Salary ($24,825)
Functions and Responsibilities
- Works directly with program director
- Assists with preparing all reports
- Participates and coordinate ACA outreach activities
- Follows up with ACA clients
- Maintains files on all ACA clients
- Performs outreach to secure ACA clients
Administrative Assistance Education/Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; five years of administrated experience can be substituted
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be computer literate using Microsoft Office or similar applications

- Outstanding organizations skills
- Ability to work effectively with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds
- Ability to balance the needs and expectations of team members
Additional Requirements for all Positions
- Candidates are required to be fingerprinted
- Pass an exam to ensure appropriate understanding of relevant exchange-related information prior to beginning Navigator work
- Must pass a level 2 background screening
- Must have a valid Florida Diver License and reliable transportation
