King County Metro Talent Management team is seeking a Leadership Talent Advisor (Recruiter or HR Analyst) to help us recruit and hire a talented, diverse workforce to meet the current and future needs of our growing and changing organization. As a Talent Advisor, you will:

Be a Talent Advisor – solving problems and influencing outcomes both with your customers and within talent acquisition.

Create legendary candidate experiences – and be known and recognized for it.

Be Innovative – in sourcing and assessment strategies for our organization.

You will accomplish this by: 
  • Managing and performing full-cycle recruitment processes for executive level and hard to fill positions. Working collaboratively with leadership, hiring managers and other human resources staff.
  • Engaging with and sourcing applicants through on-line social media, community contacts, and networking events. Creating systems to build a pipeline of diverse, competitive talent.
  • Promoting King County as an Employer of Choice. Generate diverse applicant pools in support of Equity and Social Justice Goals.
  • Developing and administering merit-based selection materials including recruitment plans, job announcements, job-related exams, interview questions, and related rating criteria.
  • Establishing priorities for managing own work and stay on a focused, efficient path toward achieving results, while optimizing the recruitment processes by contributed innovative ideas and recommending efficiencies.
  • Establishing relationships with both hiring managers and candidates to be a trusted advisor delivering outstanding customer service throughout the hiring process.
We'd love to hear from people with:
  • High level of customer service to senior management and all levels of employees and external customers.
  • Familiarity with or experience in managing recruitment. Experience in providing consultative advice to managers OR any combination of education and experience necessary to perform the scope of job duties.
  • Demonstrated skill at working collaboratively, creating relationships, building trust and rapport with a diverse group of people and professionals of different levels.
  • Ability to build a genuine collaborative and consultative style in their approach to their work. Build and understand the importance of building effective relationships with customers, team members, hiring managers, and other staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and is very politically savvy. Be comfortable providing advice and consultation to senior leaders and lead value-added discussions that challenge conventional norms and thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Skilled and comfortable using an office productivity suite and the ability to use Outlook, application tracking, SharePoint, and other internet-based tools in their daily work (The county uses Microsoft Office and NeoGov)

Work Schedule
This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and therefore is eligible for overtime pay. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, but flexibility will be considered based on business needs.
