Job Duties

The Opportunity...
 
 

  • To use your experience in LAN Administration and technology, ability to work in a demanding and fast paced IT support role to serve as the technical lead providing maintenance and connectivity oversight of the department’s IT connectivity for approximately 200 staff.
  • To use your knowledge and experience in managing hardware support services to employees utilizing multiple computer platforms with emphasis in Active Directory, LAN Desk, Azure, and SCCM.
  • To use your understanding and analysis of cyber security to ensure an effective IT security infrastructure.
  • To use your communication and training skills to communicate IT system changes and training to ensure end users understand how to use our IT assets.
  • To use your research skills to discover new tools and techniques to improve IT support or provide better tools to our employees/ customers.
  • To use your asset inventory management and organizational skills to track all IT assets and work with the department’s equipment lease process to ensure accountability of all IT inventory.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:
 
  Any combination of recent and relevant education and/or experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the scope of work described above, and may include:
 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a IT field such as Management Information System, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education (in a related field) and technology experience that demonstrate capability in desktop, mobile, server, Microsoft Dynamics, remote user support, and cloud service support,
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in computer operations utilizing Microsoft Windows, Mac OS operating systems, iOS, or other equivalent operating systems,
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience/education providing desktop, network printer, iPad support (on premises and remote users) and asset management,
  • A minimum of two (2) years knowledge and experience working with local area networks and related systems including hardware and software installation and configuration, systems integration and wide area network connectivity issues to include IT telecommunications support,
  • Communication skills that demonstrate the ability to be successful in a variety of communication settings such as: one-on-one – to investigate customer computer issues and trouble-shooting, and small groups – to provide IT-related training, with the ability to adjust communication delivery to fit the audience and message.
BONUS IF CANDIDATES HAVE THESE ADDITIONAL AND DESIREABLE QUALICATIONS:
 
  • Experience managing MS SCCM.
  • Knowledge of Windows patch management and security practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Basic scripting.
  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator). certification or equivalent experience.

  WORK LOCATION:   The primary work location for this position is the King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson ST, Seattle, WA.   Remote, telework and on premise work is currently required for this assignment.  Traveling to our location in Renton, WA to provide IT support is also required.
