SEMINOLE HOSPITAL DISTRICT PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY CONTROLLER Seminole Hospital District located in Seminole, Texas is seeking a motivated and analytical self-starter to work autonomously in a team environment. This individual should be a quick learner, multi-task oriented, and be willing to work in an atmosphere of variety as well as be challenged. The Controller will ensure that the Hospitals financial statements, and the Hospitals books and records, are prepared and maintained in accordance with GAAP/FASB. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company financial and accounting policies and procedures and governmental regulations, and that internal controls are effective in both design and operation. The Controller manages the monthly close process and ensures that deadlines are met, that account reconciliations are completed, account analysis is performed, and various packages and reports are prepared as requested or needed. The Controller will lead and direct the accounting staff and will be responsible for the day to day operations of Accounting, Payroll, and Accounts Payable. The Controller will have operational interaction with the Business Office, Medical Records/Health Information Management, Materials Management, Information Systems, and Utilization Review/Case Management. The Controller will be responsible for preparation of the organizational budget, annual audit, external audits, various state and federal program reports and gathering of cost report information. The qualifications/position requirements identified below list the skill level, ability and knowledge required to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. BS/BA Degree- Accounting CPA License Previous experience in working with Medicare, Medicaid and other third party reimbursement systems Previous hospital or healthcare accounting experience of at least 5 years Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to compute numbers Must be able to supervise, coordinate and perform multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work independently on projects with emphasis on planning, analytical, organization and teaching skills Requires intermediate to advanced Excel skills as well as familiarity with Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word within the MS Office suite Ability to analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance, identifying trends and making recommends accordingly APPLY ONLINE TODAY! www.seminolehospitaldistrict.com
