Assumes Administrative responsibility and accountability for the provision of programs of therapeutic activities designed to meet the interests and enhance the functional abilities of self esteem of each patient. Develops, coordinates and carries out scheduled recreational therapy activities and program. Coordinates and supervises volunteers and staff who conduct recreation therapy activities. Assesses each patient for appropriate plan of care as related to therapeutic recreation needs. Complies with state and federal regulations for inpatient rehabilitation and post acute care industry including the skilled care facility. Participates in IDT meetings, care plans and family conferences. Recreation Therapy in the quality improvement process.

Bachelor Degree Certified as a certified therapeutic recreation specialist from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. Minimum 1 year exp.
