Job Responsibilities Provides Journeyman level HVAC Tech or Precision Sheet Metal Fabricator Duties or 5 yrs. of experience in ether field to include Mini-Split, Furnace Installs and Sheet Metal work that pertains to Duct Work, Fittings and all related to furnace installs or Sheet Metal Fabricator for all University departments through industry standards in engineering, design, layout, fabrication. This position has the potential of being a Crew Lead pending Experience Level. Operation and repair of mechanical equipment in all University buildings including air handling, secondary heating, maintenance and repair of all air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and related equipment for human comfort and scientific experimental needs. This position is not responsible for providing patient care. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. |
Minimum Qualifications | One day comprehensive examination; successful completion of an approved 4 year, 8,000+ hour accredited apprenticeship program in sheet metal work, or four years professional sheet metal experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated customer service skills; and oral and written communications skills required. |
