Position Summary/Essential Duties: |
1. Performs data entry and processes patient transport dispatches via the Tele-Tracking System. (5%) 2. Adjust assignments of patient transport duties when needed 3. Fields calls to transport office for patient transport status changes (5%) 4. Performs daily report per shift with transport team of duties and assignments (10%) 5. Performs transport duties as needed, assist in new hire training. (5%) 6. Communicates with other departments to assess their transport needs (5%) 7. Must be orientated to physical layout of hospital and locations of patient testing areas. 8. Develops staff process improvement initiatives (10%) 9. Assist manager with staff hiring and discharges (5%) 10. Reviews and responds to patient and their family members when they have transport concerns. (5%) 11.Cover open shifts when necessary 12. Direct Patient Transport duties. (50%) 13. Good communication Skills (verbal and written) 14. Excellent customer motivational skills 15. Strong employee motivational skills |

High School Equivalent / GED required
Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred
BLS
2 years Coordinator experience
Knowledge and handling of transport equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, oxygen)
