Full-Time Staff Accountant

Finance Department

Upper Gwynedd Township located in Montgomery County is looking for a full-time Finance Staff Accountant. This position is responsible for providing administrative, clerical, and accounting support to the Finance Department.

Duties include but are not limited to processing accounts receivable, utility billing and payroll, preparing and posting general ledger entries, preparing monthly / quarterly account reconcilements, filing, generating reoccurring reports, copying, and on occasion front desk reception support. The successful candidate shall have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, proficient skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability and interest to learn new accounting software. The successful candidate shall possess strong customer service skills, knowledge of accounting processes and perform duties in responsible, polite, and professional manner. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years professional accounting experience. Work experience in processing Payroll, Fund Accounting, and Tyler InCode 10 Accounting software a definite plus. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week. The hourly rate for this position will be commensurate with experience within $24.75 to $30.75 per hour.
