Breezy Shores Resort & Beach Club, an interval owners time share resort in Detroit Lakes, is seeking candidates for the position of Resort Manager. The manager is responsible for all daily operations of the resort including financial, facilities, and staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Creates an operating environment that assures consistent owner satisfaction and safe, comfortable working conditions for all employees.
* Monitors the performance of the resort through guest satisfaction systems and financial reports. Initiates corrective actions as needed.
* Develops accurate long and short term financial objectives consistent with the resorts goals.
* Prepares monthly operational and financial reports to the Board of Directors clearly explaining effectiveness, trends and variances.
* Ensures all accounting, receivable and payable tasks are completed accurately and on time, assisting with tasks as required to ensure these duties.
* Ensures and assists as required the completion of the semi-monthly payrolls including paying and posting all state and federal tax deposits required with each payroll. * Complete, pay and file all quarterly and annual tax forms/returns as required by law.
* Manages and assists as needed with all RCI activities via their websites assuring accurate owner unit banking, unit reservations and cancelations. Maintain communication with RCI to clear up any confusion or mistakes occurring from the resort or RCI.
* Establishes and maintains a pro-active human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage and benefit administration and compliance with established labor regulations.
* Ensures good safety practices of employees and owners, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
* Establishes and maintains applicable preventive maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the resort.
* Implements and maintains an effective 'open door communication system' that crosses all department lines in order to reach all employees.
* Understands and ensures compliance with all governmental laws and regulations in the course of operating the resort.
* Deals with the general public, owners and employees with tact and courtesy.
* Ensure all resort safety and security plans, standards and procedures are consistently in place and completed or revised as needed.
* Have complete knowledge of all resort operations.
* Enforce all of Breezy Shores Resort policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with the resort attorney when necessary.
* Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Directly supervises the other two members of the management team, indirectly supervises all resort personnel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Absent extraordinary prior on the job experience, the resort manager requires a high school diploma or GED and either a two year business or four year business or liberal arts degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
* Ability to speak effectively in English before groups such as owners and employees. Read and interpret in English all business documents such as instructions, manuals, laws, regulations, periodicals and journals. Write business reports, correspondence, memos and letters in English using prescribed format and rules of punctuation.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
* Must have ability in basic math addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as required with planning, budgeting, scheduling and all resort operations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
* Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Quickbooks, various email programs and vendor and government websites as required for operations, payroll, inventory control and ordering.
* Basic understanding of Word and Excel to develop spreadsheets and documents as required in the normal course of business.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Regularly requires fine hand and finger movements, stands, walks, sits, bends, reaches above and below the waist, climbs stairs, types and lifts up to 25 pounds. * Occasionally kneels, pushes and pulls, differentiates colors and requires visual depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* Must work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate well with others and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
* Must be able to multitask changing activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
* Regularly interacts with co-workers, owners and guests and is exposed to various noise levels. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat and cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration as found in a normal office setting and walking in outdoor conditions.
