Operations Director

 Hilton Head Island, SC ELITE RESORTS (Full time) The position of Operations Director will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer/General Manager of Elite Resort Group on Hilton Head Island, SC. H/she will oversee operations that facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals. Some areas of responsibility may include: Manage operational processes and policies in support of organizations mission specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning. Interface with central operations management to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximize of schedule adherence. Provides input on local conditions, identifies needs and receives direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases. Enacts contingency plans as needed; escalates and directs activities during operational problems, disasters, etc.. Identifies potential problems, troubleshoots, escalates issues to upper management, and participates in post-mortem analysis of problems providing input for future process improvement.  Participates in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning meetings. This would include company board meetings and POA meetings. Manage risk management and oversee organizational and facility insurance policies. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/ effectiveness. Project a favorable image of the company to promote its aim and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance. Keeps the COO/GM promptly and fully informed of all problems and unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary. Ensures proper training of personnel and develops individuals for future advancement. Performance of other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. Qualifications:

At least 3 years in Operational Management, preferably in Hospitality. Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Demonstrated leadership in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives. Excellent interpersonal skills. Budget development and oversight experience. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace. Excels at operating in a fast pace environment. Ability to look at situations from several points of view. Persuasive with details and facts High comfort level in working in a diverse environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position may require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. This is a full time position. Exempt position which will likely require occasional evening and weekend work as job duties demand. - This position may have occasional out of area travel and overnight stays may be expected. -

Education:

Bachelor's degree; preferably in operations management or business management.
