The responsibilities of this classification, Pharmacy Technician, include assisting pharmacists by processing prescriptions, maintaining patient profile, filling orders, ordering medications, maintaining pharmaceutical inventory and providing support services to assure that the pharmacy program is in compliance with all relevant state and federal rules and regulations. This position operates under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Washington State Board of Pharmacy Technician License at time of hire
Healthcare BLS/CPR Certification at time of hire
Must pass DAJD Clearance and Public Health Background Check
The person hired into this position will be required to adhere to the policies of the Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (in addition to those of the Public Health Department) in meeting and maintaining the standards required including Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards, for continued access to the facility as well as other standards related to conduct.
An offer of employment will be contingent on passing a pre-employment physical exam (should be able to lift 50 pounds, move quickly up and down stairs, crouching/bending to perform CPR).

Previous experience working with an electronic health record system
Certified Pharmacy Technician Licensure (PTCB)
Who May Apply: This Float Pool (Short-Term Temporary) position is open to all qualified applicants that includes new graduate and re-entry pharmacy-technicians. This posting will be used to fill all needs.
Work Schedule: This is an on-call float position (Short-Term Temp), the work hours will vary between 7:00am and 5:30pm depends on the location and shift. The various work schedule is dependent on the backfill needs. Holidays and weekends may be included and may work outside these days/hours to meet operational needs.
