Opportunity for hybrid work from home model.

Senior staff level corporate position in a large healthcare system setting. The role is directly responsible for leading the kickoff, design, construct, test, deployment and operational stages of multiple medium to large scale healthcare data governance projects.

Essential Duties

Lead effective and efficient meetings, including agenda development, meeting facilitation, provision of supporting data, and identification of next steps.

  • Leads multiple projects with:
    • Complex objectives and activities
    • Teams comprised of 20 – 30+, matrixed, resources from multi-areas of an organization
    • Vendors providing services, applications, hardware, and other components
  • Manages and builds customer relationships at the Director, Vice President, and Senior Executive level.
  • Coaches and mentors project team members and other project managers. 
  • Develops processes and procedures in support of Data Governance initiatives.
  • Represents Data Governance in related operational meetings including but not limited to compliance, change management, project management, analytics, and other data related forums and projects.
  • Prepares council meeting agendas/minutes including program updates, proposed policies and guidelines, and topics gathered from the stewardship community that require escalation.
  • Publishes program operations, content, roadmaps, status, and issues.
  • Facilitates Data Quality, Metadata, Master Data, Policy, and Analytics Competency workgroups.
  • Provides operational support and user training for the Data Governance technology and processes (Master Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Governance processes).
  • Publishes program goals, content, and progress through a variety of communication channels.
  • Collaborates with external organizations to mature the program.
  • Conducts recurring one-on-one meetings with Data Governance Council Members and Information Owners to plan, collaborate, assist, and educate.
  • Monitors and measures stewardship utilization and performance metrics.
  • Coordinates and facilitates stewardship activities.
  • Identifies and participates in speaking, award, and publication opportunities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required and preferably in a data management or data analytics related field.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Five plus years working with healthcare data in an analytics capacity.
    • Experience with Informatica strongly preferred.
  • Three plus years managing enterprise projects.
  • Data Governance experience preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem-solving ability. 
  • Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required. 

Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:

  • Must have ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple work assignments.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Displays a high degree of competence, skills, and independence of thought and actions.
  • Effective relationship building skills
  • Experience with data quality, master data, or metadata tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database structures in a plus.
  • Traveling to multiple UH hospital sites throughout northeastern Ohio as needed
