We are seeking dependable individuals with Manhole and/or concrete construction experience for the division of Streets and Roads.
The purpose of this classification is to maintain the functionality and appearance of LFUCG property by performing repairs and preventative maintenance on local infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, and storm sewers.
This classification works under close supervision according to set procedures.
High school, GED, or specialized vocational training in concrete, paving, or construction or a related field; and, a minimum of two (2) years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Previous experience working with road construction and manhole replacement experience preferred.
Corrects deficiencies and performs preventative maintenance on physical assets and facilities
Plans and organizes jobs; provides supervision
Troubleshoots and resolves repair and maintenance challenges
Performs landscaping, leaf and snow removal, and other property improvement services, as assigned.
A valid Kentucky Driver's License upon application
All positions require a valid Kentucky Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - Class B (Allows you to operate single vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 lbs. or more OR a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 lbs. or more, towing trailers/vehicles rated at 10,000 pounds GVWR or less. A Class "B" license also allows you to operate Class C vehicles); and a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner’s Certificate within the six (6) month probationary period and maintain as a condition of continued employment.
EXAMINATION will be a training and experience evaluation from information provided on the application at filing deadline date weighted at 100% of the final score.
