Citrix Administrators are responsible for maintaining Citrix applications including installing and updating Xenapp farms, developing professional infrastructure, solving technical issues, training users, managing Windows systems, and supervising the Citrix server farm. Applicants should demonstrate computer proficiency, computer network expertise, troubleshooting abilities, communication, teamwork, and time management. Eligible candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree in information technology or a similar field and/or equivalent experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position will work with the existing Windows team to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers for a mixed customer environment.

* This position will Implement and support hardware and software systems and create and maintain team technical instructions, operating procedures and policies as needed.
* Adept at monitoring and tuning system performance, ongoing operation of the servers, hardening, and vulnerability management of the servers and securing their operational status.
* Recommend improvements to the enterprise and manage new software/hardware integrations when required while also providing utilization reports using existing tools to identify problems and corrective actions as needed.
* Require excellent communication and team skills.
* Provide support towards the lifecycle of a mixed environment of vendor equipment in the datacenter to include firmware version control and periodic preventive maintenance.
* Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment.
* Provides support to address the availability and reliability issues on Windows systems across multiple locations
* Evaluates and integrates new operating system versions, drivers and libraries
Operational responsibilities include remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance responsibilities, system run enhancement testing and staging, policy / procedure enhancements and adherence, client contact coordination and operational recommendations
* Implements appropriate levels of system security. Prescribes system backup / disaster recovery procedures and directs recovery operations in the event of destruction of all or part of the operating system or other system components.
* Ensures 24x7 after-hour support

Basic Qualifications:

3 + years working with complex Citrix environments
3 + years in Microsoft Server Administration
3 + years in basic networking
Epic experience and certification a plus

Preferred Skills:

Experience configuring and managing server backups using tools such as Microsoft DPM and Acitve Directory
Experience planning and executing major OS upgrades and patch installations; XML configuration for Citrix XenServer
