Job Description:

Use your knowledge of behavioral health to assist law enforcement in responding to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges!

Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Co-Response Clinician in our Crisis Services program at Behavioral Health Network!

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Crisis Services program with the following:

  • Working primarily with the Police Department and clinical staff
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide community-based care to individuals through immediate clinical intervention, including mental status, social functioning, and level of risk.
  • Determine the need for Crisis treatment, consult with the clinical supervisor, and implement appropriate treatment or referral responses.
  • Work closely with youth and their families, identifying signs of mental health and substance abuse and performing risk evaluation, intervention, and de-escalation.
  • Use their knowledge of the Recovery-Oriented model, multi-modal therapies, family dynamics, and normal child, adolescent, and adult development in their work.
  • Determine if higher-level clinical intervention is required, and complete all necessary paperwork in a clear, timely, and compliant manner.  Significant sign on bonus offered” 

BHN’s Crisis Program provides 24/7 front line response to individuals of all ages who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, regardless of insurance. BHN provides services on a mobile basis, including home and community-based settings or in an emergency department when needed

Job Requirements:

What are we looking for in a Co-Response Clinician?

  • Crisis or psychiatric inpatient experience (preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with law enforcement (preferred).
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) (preferred).
  • Graduate of Clinical Master’s program (required).
  • Licensed or license eligible (required).
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems (required).
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation during each shift to provide expedited community based service response when appropriate and requested by law enforcement personnel (required).
  • Knowledge of grief and trauma.
  • Knowledge and application of the Recovery Oriented model, specific to those experiencing a mental health crisis

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

 

The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st – through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN’s Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.

Additionally, BHN is a Tobacco Free workplace. All Staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors agree not to smell of or use Tobacco or ENDS products while on paid work time or within sight of any BHN facility.
