Below are our current opportunities: Transition to Adulthood Program Counselor: Full-time (40 hour/week.) professional position to help students with disabilities prepare for their transition from special education to adulthood. The TAP Counselor will work with students aged 14-21 who are attending public, private and residential schools throughout Berkshire County. The Counselor serves as a role model and provides advocacy, skills training, and peer counseling to eligible students with disabilities. A Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of one year experience working with people with disabilities. Experience in special education including an understanding of the 688 referral process, IEPS and youth transition a must. Prior special education teaching experience preferred. Must have own transportation. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

Peer Counselor/Advocate: Full-time (40 hour) position to work in Berkshire County with individuals with disabilities on specific independent living needs. Must be a self-starter who, through common personal experience, presentation, and actions can serve as a role model for individuals with disabilities. Must be able to deal effectively and professionally with consumers, family members, other human service workers and funding sources. Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior human service or counseling experience a plus. Basic computer skills a must. VR-IL Counselor/Advocate: Part-time (20hr) position to work in Berkshire County with individuals with disabilities to achieve their vocational goals. Must be a self-starter who, through common personal experience, presentation, and actions can serve as a role model for individuals with disabilities. Must be able to deal effectively and professionally with consumers, family members, other human service workers and funding sources. Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior human service or counseling experience a plus. Basic computer skills a must.

Skills Trainer: Immediate full-time opening to work in Berkshire County with individuals with disabilities. Will train consumers on how to manage their in-home Personal Care Program. Must be a self-starter with strong communication, organizational and people skills. Must be able to deal effectively and professionally with other human service workers, funding sources, and consumers. Requires computer literacy and the ability to learn and use the program's database. One year prior work experience in providing services to people with disabilities is required. Bachelors' degree preferred. Own transportation a must.

Occupational Therapist: Occupational Therapist for "in home" evaluations. Flexible, per Diem position available immediately. Persons with a disability are encouraged to apply.
