We are seeking a laboratory technician to provide support for the daily operation of the Laboratory of Emotional Circuits and Adaptive Behavior, headed by Dr. Jonathan P. Fadok. The laboratory research technician will work as part of a team comprised of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate research assistants and will perform general laboratory maintenance tasks and care for our mouse colonies. The research technician will also support the research efforts of the laboratory by providing technical assistance related to experiments. Typical responsibilities of the technician will include ordering, maintenance, and organization of laboratory supplies and equipment, maintaining mouse colonies, and genotyping. Other tasks will be commensurate with the experience and interests of the technician. The position requires a high degree of organization, meticulous work practices, and a demonstrated interest in psychological and neuroscience research.
