Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education has the following position available: ADULT & CAREER DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR Workforce and Economic Development Provides statewide leadership to assist tech centers by convening relevant partner groups to plan and execute successful economic development initiatives and Adult and Career Development training. The position shall represent assigned tech centers and provide statewide leadership on ACD matters. Assist tech centers to help Oklahoma companies succeed through professional development, effective targeting, and appropriate execution strategies. This individual will have five years of successful experience working in industry, working in the field of adult education and/or business-to-business sales experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification is preferred. Position requires the ability to perform needs assessments, task analysis, and develop customized training programs that will meet the needs of new start-up and expanding companies. Relevance of experience will be validated and considered in the selection. Position based in Stillwater, OK. Requires valid drivers license. Duties/Essential Functions: * Collaborate with various local economic development entities and coordinate information sharing opportunities to ensure strategic development and execution of economic development plans. * Consult tech centers on best practices as they develop partnerships and business relationships with previously under-serviced companies to help grow Oklahoma's economy. * Effectively communicate local needs to the State Agency as they pertain to economic development. * Actively research, compile, and deliver pertinent global industry trends and information to help keep the BIS Team and local tech centers relative. * Support State economic development initiatives. * Conduct and coordinate BIS program activities and evaluations. * As good stewards of taxpayer's dollars, will prepare and monitor budgets for operation of programs and services (TIP, TEI, FFT, CNA, EARN, & SAFETY, etc.). * Develop and maintain leadership skills & technical knowledge related to techniques for assisting businesses to prosper and grow. * Provide leadership to technology centers' staff in development and evaluation of Adult and Career Development courses. * Act as a liaison between the statewide ACD staff and the state agency. Salary/Benefits: $51,985.95 - $58,421.34 commensurate with education or experience.
