Job Summary |
LGBT Resource Center (LGBT RC) empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual/aromantic (LGBTQIA+) students to grow as leaders and learners by supporting students in navigating university systems, exploring their identities, finding community, and developing as leaders with a social justice lens. We are seeking a student intern who is creative, passionate about making inclusive community spaces, highly organized, and excited to plan events with the potential to make lasting change. The Gay-la Intern leads in planning our largest fundraiser of the year, which supports funding for our student programs and scholarships. This intern will play a pivotal role in creating an engaging, interactive, and impactful Gay-la and they will help us refresh what has been a signature event for LGBTQIA+ community at the U for over a decade. This paid internship is part-time (10 hours per week) and temporary, lasting January 2024 to June 2024. The intern reports to the Director. There is potential to extend the internship for the 2025 Gay-la for the right candidate. About Student Affairs
