Field/Shed Support Workers; Tractor/Truck Driver

West Coast Tomato Growers, Inc. located in Oceanside, CA, is seeking 111 temporary Field/Shed Support Workers to work w/tomatoes & Brussels sprouts in fields (i.e., plant, prune, top, defoliate, harvest), perform shed activities, & drive tractor/trucks.

Contract period: August 1, 2019 through December 15, 2019. Must have 2 months work experience in farm work with tomatoes in fields. Experience including non-harvest activities, specifically planting, staking, pruning, topping & defoliating plants.

Wage offered: $13.92/hour (unless rescinded by court order or other action). Higher or different wage rates may apply during contract period based on market conditions, and/or crop/job activity, but no less than the required wage rate. A discretionary performance bonus may apply. 3/4 of the work hours guaranteed. Tools & equipment provided at no cost to the worker. Free housing is provided to workers who cannot reasonably return to their permanent residence at the end of the work day. Inbound/outbound transportation & subsistence from recruitment point to worksite paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of work contract or earlier.
