Job Description
Partner with Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland, MI to be a part of the Level II Special Care Nursery. This opportunity will allow for top notch training and continued development within the Grand Rapids health system and daily onsite care to those patients and families located within the Midland area and outlying communities.
Have the responsibility of attending high-risk deliveries, performing initial neonatal resuscitation, initiate and maintain IV therapies, provide critical care management throughout assessment and feeding support.

Qualifications:

Education - Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
Experience - 5 years of relevant experience in current, relevant clinical experience including three years in area of specialty Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Ability to coordinate care provided by multiple services, preferred
Licenses -
Registered Nurse (RN)
Physician Assistant-Certified, with Neonatal Fellowship
Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant Licensed (NP/PA)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as appropriate for patient population (not required for Neonatal Services)
Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Neonatal Services
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience - Experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in med surg / critical care area
