VACANT POSITION

The Hoopa Valley Tribe is accepting applications to fill the following vacant position:

EDUCATION DIRECTOR: Education Department, Regular, Full-Time, Salary: $70,000-$90,000 DOE. Provides overall leadership of the education department, plan, coordinate, direct education programs and services, and addresses other education issues related to implementing of the Hoopa Tribal Education Association's strategic plan on behalf of the Hoopa Tribe. Insures sound fiscal practices are followed by all education programs, adheres to all tribal policies, and state and federal guidelines for education programs. Supervises 70-100 employees in all educational programs and carries out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Researches, reports, and identifies best practice models and pedagogy to foster the growth and sustainable development of the Hoopa Tribal Education Association and affiliated programs. Required to draft applications and proposals to submit to fund granting authorities such as government and foundations, and administers and approves expenditures of funding in accordance with established policies and procedures.
