SALARY: $36.48per hour (Step 1) -$47.50per hour (Step 11) Salary determined from the School-Related Personnel (SRP) agreement

ASSIGNMENT: Columbia High School/ Central Administration

HOURS: 8hours per day –12-month position

CLOSING DATE: February 26, 2021

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and either: (A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer technology, information technology, data processing, management information systems or related field and one (1) year of experience responsible for the installation, maintenance, and configuration of microcomputer hardware and software for local area networks; or(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college with an Associate’s Degree in computer science, computer technology, information technology, data processing, management information systems, or related field andthree (3) years or experience as defined in (A) above; or(C) Network Certification (CNE) from a vendor Authorized Center andthree (3) years of experience as defined in (A) above.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Applicants need thorough knowledge of microcomputer and product technology; good knowledge of the operation and configuration of local area networks; good knowledge of logical operations of microcomputers and data communication devices; working knowledge of data processing methodology and techniques; ability to define and recommend microcomputer hardware and software; ability to detect and resolve microcomputer equipment and software breakdowns and problems; good knowledge of the operation and maintenance of file servers, routers, and hubs;ability to create and implement network design and installation of hardware and software; ability to work with customers to implement technology plans; ability to work as part of a team and assume leadership role; microcomputer literacy, tact and courtesy.
