Do you have strong analytical and excel skills and an affinity for compliance work? Advance Local has a role for a remote-based Human Resources Analyst. Our company is driven by our mission, to strengthen and empower the communities we serve, and we are looking for an individual with critical thinking skills and attention to detail to join our team.

 

The Human Resources Analyst’s key responsibilities are weekly management of the 401(k) and benefits vendor billing. You will also work on government compliance such as: Affordable Care Act (ACA); Non-discrimination testing of 401(k) and Health & Welfare benefit programs; Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO-1) reporting; Medicare; and 5500s.

 

For this position we’re looking for candidates with:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with an HRIS for a minimum of two years
  • Experience funding 401(k) accounts, weekly auditing and annual true-up and non-discrimination testing for a minimum of two years
  • Analytical skills and curiosity to ask questions and challenge the data
  • Independent judgment and problem solving, with the ability to understand needs and determine pathways to solutions
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to write formulas and manipulate numerical data
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work with confidential data and uphold ethical HR practices
