University of North Alabama

Adjunct Instructors – The University of North Alabama invites applications for adjunct (part-time)instructors for the 2018 summer term and fall semester. Persons holding adjunct teaching positions normally teach three to six credit hours or nine contact hours per semester. Adjunct teaching positions will be available in a number of departments but greatest needs are anticipated in the following areas: chemistry, earth science, English, English as a Second Language (ESL),foreign languages, geography, history, industrial hygiene, interdisciplinary studies (organizational leadership),nursing (clinical supervisors for the traditional option - fundamentals, community, adult health, mental health, maternal child, pediatrics, and management; clinical supervisors normally supervise 6 to 12 contact hours per semester in a designated clinical setting), and psychology. Minimum qualifications require adjunct instructors to hold the master's degree plus a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the desired teaching discipline.

Payment for adjunct teaching is on as standardized university scale according to credit or contact hours taught.
